Bishop DeAngelo Joseph Lewis is a servant-leader, pastor, teacher, and community advocate with more than twenty-two years of ministry experience. Having preached the Gospel since childhood, his life has been marked by a passion for serving God’s people, equipping leaders, and building bridges between the church and the community.

Born on February 14th, in Detroit, Michigan, Bishop Lewis was raised in the church and developed a deep love for God under the influence of his grandmother and the leadership of the late Supt. Fred L. Mitchell at Greater Rock of Ages COGIC. Later, his family united with Greater St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Larry Robinson, where he was baptized and became actively involved in numerous ministries, including Sunday School, youth ministry, choir, and church leadership.

Although he began preaching as a young child, Bishop Lewis delivered his first official sermon on January 25, 2004, officially launching a ministry journey that continues today. Through years of discipleship, service, and spiritual development, he answered God’s call to pastoral leadership and was ordained into ministry in 2008.

For more than fourteen years, Bishop Lewis has faithfully served as a pastor, shepherding congregations, mentoring leaders, and advancing the Kingdom of God. His ministry experience includes serving in various pastoral and leadership capacities throughout the Metro Detroit area before founding Love of Christ Family Fellowship Church (LOC) in 2018.

Under his leadership, LOC has become a place of worship, healing, discipleship, and community transformation, embracing the church’s mission that “everybody deserves a little TLC.”

In 2021, Bishop Lewis was consecrated to the Office of Bishop. He currently serves as the International Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle of the Ecumenical Assembly of Global Leaders Emerging (EAGLE) and as International Vice Presiding Prelate of Kingdom United Ministerial Alliance (KUMA), providing oversight, mentorship, and leadership development to ministers and churches both nationally and internationally.

Beyond the pulpit, Bishop Lewis is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nexus Bridge Community Corporation (NBCC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people, resources, and opportunities to strengthen communities. Through strategic partnerships, community development initiatives, educational programming, leadership training, and outreach efforts, NBCC works to bridge the gap between need and opportunity while empowering individuals, families, and organizations to thrive.

Bishop Lewis is also an author, educator, and advocate for community engagement. His ministry is characterized by practical teaching, authentic leadership, and a commitment to helping people grow spiritually, personally, and purposefully.

His life’s mission is simple: to love God, serve people, develop leaders, and leave communities better than he found them.
